Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor cardiac rhythm and support safe patient care during night shifts. You will perform 12-lead ECGs as needed, evaluate baseline rhythms and oxygenation, and communicate clearly with the care team throughout the shift.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS within 30 days, and Telemetry exam proficiency, with preferred experience in healthcare and ECG knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Telemetry Exam passed with a minimum of 80%.
• Preferred: healthcare experience and ECG knowledge; 1 year as Telemetry Technician or EMT.

Responsabilités

• Monitors cardiac rhythm on telemetry monitor screen throughout shift.
• Performs 12 lead electrocardiogram procedure as needed.
• Evaluates patient baseline rhythm and oxygen saturations and changes over stay.
• Communicates effectively with other staff in support of patient care.
• Prepares patient properly for telemetry monitoring process.
• Ensures upkeep of telemetry area for efficient workflow.
• Participates in professional and staff development.
• Performs related responsibilities as required.

Job Description

Provides excellent patient care through monitoring and evaluating of patients requiring telemetry observation of cardiac status. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experience

• No minimum experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting
• Possess an understanding of electrocardiogram
• 1 year of experience as a Telemetry Technician or Emergency Medical Technician

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent

Certification Summary

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
