Tower Health is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous patient surveillance and rapid notification of changes in cardiac rhythm to nursing teams. This role supports telemetry patients and ensures monitors are properly initiated and maintained for reliable data.

Strong communication, collaboration, and computer navigation skills are essential to succeed, with a focus on accuracy and multitasking in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant experience may be considered.
• Telemetry and cardiac monitor experience preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with medical terminology and computer navigation.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-level patient surveillance and notifies nursing/clinicians of changes in cardiac rate/rhythm.
• Monitors, records, and reports heart rhythm from patient cardiac monitors.
• May monitor seizure and fall risk activity for telemetry patients and general observation.
• Initiates and discontinues monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Maintains and troubleshoots monitoring equipment to ensure accurate monitoring.
