Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Windham Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician for night shift (32 hours). Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Unit Manager, you will identify cardiac rhythms, communicate with care team members, and document observations.

The role requires adherence to hospital standards and protocols, and reports to the Unit Manager. Qualifications include a High School diploma, telemetry experience preferred (training available), and strong interpersonal and computer

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Telemetry Monitor experience preferred but will train.
• Clerical skills preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and interact effectively with health care team members, patients and families.
• Knowledge of arrhythmia detection highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify cardiac rhythms and monitor patients as part of the patient care team.
• Communicate with health care team and document findings; follow regulatory and hospital standards, policies and guidelines.
