Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Telemetry Unit to provide compassionate, hands-on care and support the nursing team in delivering safe cardiac and medical care.

The role involves obtaining and reporting vital signs, monitoring telemetry, and performing delegated tasks within scope. Three 12-hour night shifts per week ensure coverage for urgent patient needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program and state CNA certification.
• Current CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Strong observation, communication, and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as assigned per routine and standards.
• Report vital signs and monitor patients on telemetry.
• Document care and maintain accurate records.
• Float to units as needed to support patient care.
• Maintain clean patient environments and supply management.
• Assist with IVs, catheter care, and enteral tubes under RN direction.
