Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks a Med Surg/Telemetry Clinical Nurse II for a local travel or permanent contract in Los Alamitos, CA. The RN will provide professional nursing care for a focused patient group, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to plan and implement care plans.

Requirements include 2+ years telemetry experience, CA RN license, BLS and ACLS, and a BSN degree. Shift is nights (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), 36 hours/week, including weekends and holidays, for a 13-week contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years recent telemetry experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years recent inpatient clinical nursing experience in adult acute care.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; CA RN License.
• BLS & ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and implement a plan of care for assigned patients.
• Assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for patients throughout the continuum of care.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses on the unit.
• Act as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested by supervisor/manager.
• Work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Delegate patient care activities and ensure safe, high-quality nursing care.
