Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Charge Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership and high-quality care in a medical telemetry unit. You will oversee patient care, coordinate with care teams, and ensure accurate documentation and safe medication administration.

The ideal candidate holds Florida RN licensure, a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least 1 year of acute care RN experience, with strong critical thinking and communication

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or with an appropriate compact license; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS current.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Tele patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Provide leadership to nursing team during designated shift.
