Job summary

Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, AL seeks a Care Tech- Telemetry I for the Telemetry Unit 3200. This PRN daytime role provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision of RNs and LPNs.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a CNA certification valid in Alabama. BLS must be completed within 90 days of hire; pre-employment drug screening is required. Medical Assistant credentials with bedside care experience are considered.

Qualifications

• Validation of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA certification in Alabama required per postings.
• Medical Assistant and bedside care experience considered.
• Paramedic/EMT experience with bedside care teaching is considered.
• BLS completion within 90 days of hire; nursing program enrollment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of Nurse Managers, RNs and LPNs.
• Provides for personal care, comfort and assures patient safety.
• Must be dependable, hardworking, and a team player with a good attitude and professional behavior.
• Applicants will be responsible for vital signs, assisting nursing personnel, and helping patients with basic daily needs.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
