Job summary

Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, AL is seeking a Care Tech for the Inpatient Rehab Unit (PRN: Days). This on-site role supports nurses by performing assigned tasks and assisting patients with daily needs, under supervision.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma, Alabama CNA certification, and BLS within 90 days. MA or EMT experience may be considered; two 12-hour shifts per schedule with on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• Must be certified in Alabama and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• We will consider Medical Assistant or EMT experience and teach bedside care.
• Care technician with 3+ years of patient care experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision of nursing staff.
• Assists with personal care, comfort, and patient safety.
• Arrives by 6:30 a.m. and works every other weekend; 2 full 12-hour shifts per schedule.
• Takes vital signs, assists nursing personnel, and supports patients with daily needs.
• Communicates instructions clearly and carries out duties as assigned.
