Job summary

EquipmentShare in Angleton, TX is hiring a Telematics Installer to install and repair telematics systems on vehicles and equipment. You’ll travel regionally, work with safety-critical procedures, and support customers in a fast-paced, hands-on role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Trade School Certificate preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude, with good hand dexterity and tool use.
• Hard-working, eager to learn and mechanically inclined.
• Experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer).
• Mobile Electronics Installer, Automotive Electronics Technician, 12V Technician are relevant titles.
• Prior telematics experience is not required; training is provided.
• Own tools; some specialty tools will be provided.
• Attention to detail and a clean driving record; background check required.
• Willingness to travel within a 250-mile radius of the local branch for up to a week at a time.
• Must be able to drive, maneuver, bend, squat, walk long distances, and lift over 25 lb.
• Safety-sensitive role; drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install telematics system and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, and customer assets.
• Operate machinery as needed during installation for testing.
• Replace ignition systems and integrate keypad communication with telematics.
• Handle basic to complex wiring harness installations including CAN networks.
• Identify and resolve problems; gather information and propose solutions.
• Travel to client sites or equipment yards within the region for installations.
• Represent EquipmentShare in a professional manner on-site.
• Occasionally work outside regular hours or on weekends.
