Job summary

Vetster is a US-based telemedicine platform seeking licensed veterinarians in good standing in Michigan to join as independent contractors. You can set your own schedule and work as much or as little as you’d like, with potential to treat a range of species and participate in partnerships with PetSmart.

You'll conduct virtual appointments, provide assessments and recommendations, and maintain medical records with care and professionalism. This flexible role rewards expertise and reliability.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the US in good standing, Michigan highlighted.
• Bonus points for multi-state licensing.
• Experience treating exotic species is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual video appointments with pet owners through the Vetster platform.
• Provide clinical assessments, triage guidance, and treatment recommendations within scope and regulations.
• Complete accurate medical records for each appointment in the platform.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience with clear, compassionate communication.

Vetster is seeking Veterinarians licensed and in good standing in Michigan to join our platform and provide virtual care on the side. This is an exciting opportunity to join our platform and a growing network of veterinarians at the forefront of telemedicine. As a flexible, independent contractor, you’ll have the freedom to create your own schedule and work as much or as little as you’d like. Experience with exotic species (small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates) is a strong asset and a plus, helping us service our public partnership with PetSmart, but all levels are welcome, including vets who primarily see cats and dogs.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct virtual video appointments with pet owners through the Vetster platform
• Provide thorough clinical assessments, triage guidance, and treatment recommendations within your scope of practice and applicable regulations
• Complete accurate and timely medical records for each appointment within the platform
• Deliver an exceptional client experience — communicating clearly, compassionately, and professionally
• Adhere to Vetster ’s standards of care and platform policies
• Maintain compliance with your provincial licensing requirements

You are paid per appointment with additional supplementary earnings programs designed to reflect the flexible, on-your-own-schedule nature of the work.

What You Bring:

• You are a DVM/VMD licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the US in good standing, within the highlighted state
• Bonus points if you are licensed in multiple states.
• You have experience treating some or all of the following exotic species: guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rabbits, lizards, turtles, snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, crabs, and birds
• You are passionate about Telemedicine with a genuine belief in the power of digital health to expand access to care
