As a WellNow Provider, you will be part of a team dedicated to improving the delivery of quality healthcare to our Virtual Urgent Care patients while being supported in your professional growth.
We are seeking a part-time, seasonal Telehealth provider licensed in New York and Illinois for WellNow Virtual Care, reflecting our continued growth.
Salary:
Qualified NP/PA hourly rate is $60/hour.
As an NP or PA, you’ll succeed by:
- Providing outstanding patient care and demonstrating strong medical knowledge.
- Assessing patient needs within a telemedicine setting.
- Triaging patients appropriately to identify needs.
- Evaluating patients promptly, prioritizing patient care over clerical duties.
- Performing thorough history and physical exams.
- Creating individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Consulting with on-call physicians and radiologists as needed.
- Managing payers effectively across services.
- Following evidence-based standards for ordering labs and diagnostics.
- Using evidence-based resources for treatment decisions.
- Ordering and prescribing appropriate medications.
- Referring patients to primary care or specialists when necessary.
- Performing procedures within standard care protocols.
- Educating patients about their disease and discharge plans.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality.
Continuous Practice-Based Learning
- Completing CME requirements.
- Attending peer review and educational meetings.
- Serving as a resource for staff education.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Treating patients professionally and compassionately.
- Communicating effectively with clinical staff.
- Maintaining professionalism in discussions and documentation.
Professionalism
- Arriving punctually.
- Adhering to dress code.
- Limiting personal conversations during work hours.
- Providing continuous patient care during scheduled shifts.
System-Based Practice
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Completing charts within 3 days.
- Reviewing and following up on diagnostic tests.
- Participating in meetings and projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, telemedicine, or family practice managing adult and pediatric patients.
- Experience in fast-paced emergency or urgent care settings preferred.
- Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, customer service-oriented attitude.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
Required Licenses and Certifications
- Willingness to obtain multiple state licenses as directed.
- NY and IL state licenses required at employment start.
