Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care within an interprofessional team.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Understanding of safe patient care practices and risk reduction.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinical team members.
• Actively promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Provides assistance in maintaining supplies and equipment available to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds promptly to patient call lights or pages.
• May be assigned as a virtual safety associate as needed.
• May facilitate telehealth exams with remote providers using required peripherals and software.
