Responsibilities

• Evaluate and examine patients with headache complaints, provide a diagnosis and a care plan addressing health goals across diet, exercise, stress management, sleep, and more.
• Review labs and imaging appropriate for patient care
• Provide follow-up appointments to adjust medications as needed
• Provide chat-based support to patients during difficult journeys
• Generate educational content to support our online blogs and content library

Requirements

• Commitment of at least 8 hours per week
• ABPN certification or eligibility in Neurology
• Interest in diagnosing and treating headache disorders
• Soft skills: listening, negotiating, decision-making, and leadership
• Culture fit: empathic, mission-driven, collaborative, precise, transparent, compassionate, and results-oriented

Compensation & Hours

• Available for 8 hours per week to start, with the potential to increase hours
• Hourly rate: $160/hr for appointments and cancellations not made within 12 hours
• Neura offers contract physicians equity; after reaching 8 hours/week, a standard equity grant is provided, subject to vesting
• Annual rate increases may be offered based on performance and Neura’s standard review process; raises/bonuses depend on individual and company performance

Licenses

• Neura pays for licenses required for Neura use, including regular prescription licenses and DEA licenses
• Contract terms specify usage: 25 visits or more must be conducted with the licensed credentials; otherwise, license funds may be repayable to Neura
• One-time 4-hour payment to compensate for license paperwork; failure to complete paperwork within 1 week may forfeit payment
• Neura provides a $500 CME stipend after 6 months of service
