Job summary

Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) seeks a skilled Physical Therapist to evaluate, test, and treat patients with orthopedic/musculoskeletal issues. Provider communications via video teleconferencing or in person support patient function and pain reduction.

Outpatient treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with the medical team ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Travel to Kodiak Island villages may be required to deliver services and improve access.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Alaska Physical Therapist licensure and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Supports mission, quality standards, and patient-centered care.
• Promotes culture of service and upholds ethics.
• Develops PT program with focus on quality and access.
• Administers PT treatment in outpatient setting.
• Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatment plans.
• Educates patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
• Collaborates with medical team for optimal outcomes.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance in all activities.
• Travels to Kodiak Island villages for itinerant services.
• Participates in regulatory trainings and community health events.
