Jefferson Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinicians. Responsibilities include collaborating with the interprofessional team, attending to patient needs, and ensuring safety on the unit.

The role may involve telehealth support and use of Epic and Vidyo systems. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS certification; strong communication and teamwork are essential for patient- and family-centered care

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of medical terminology and interprofessional teamwork.
Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
Knowledge of patient care and diversity considerations.
Understanding effective communication with patients and families.

Responsabilités

Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under licensed clinicians.
Maintains a safe patient care environment.
Supports supplies and equipment to ensure efficient unit operations.
Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, responds to call lights.
May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed.
May assist with clinical exams using peripheral devices and telehealth tools.
