Summary

The Workforce Group a LEMOINE company, is seeking experienced and dependable Telehandler Operators to join our Emergency Response Logistics Support Reservists Cadre Team. As a Telehandler Operator, you will play a key role in supporting emergency operations by safely operating telehandlers to load, unload, and transport supplies and materials. You’ll be part of a critical logistics team ensuring timely and effective support in disaster-affected areas.

These are seasonal positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs. Ideal candidates for these missions will be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notification.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate telehandler equipment to safely load, unload, and move materials.
  • Support the setup and breakdown of logistics operations at deployment sites.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on telehandler equipment.
  • Assist with other material handling tasks as assigned.
  • Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with logistics team members to meet operational needs.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A valid Telehandler Operator Certification is required. Prior experience operating a telehandler in logistics or emergency response is required. This role involves working in a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoor and potentially hazardous settings. Flexibility to work irregular hours—such as nights, weekends, and holidays—is essential, particularly during emergency deployments. The position also requires the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.

  • Must be physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑stress environments during disaster responses.
  • Availability to deploy with short notice is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
