Job summary

Urban Infraconstruction LLC is seeking a skilled Telehandler Operator to support our Texas construction teams on water resources, utilities, and large infrastructure projects. You will operate telehandlers, move materials, and assist crews while maintaining high safety standards.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years’ telehandler experience on heavy civil or infrastructure sites, knowledge of rigging and load charts, and a valid driver’s license. OSHA 10/30 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of telehandler operating experience on heavy civil, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to safely operate rough-terrain telehandlers of varying sizes and capacities.
• Knowledge of rigging, load charts, and lifting procedures.
• Ability to read hand signals and communicate with ground personnel.
• Strong construction site safety practices.
• Ability to perform equipment inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate telehandlers to lift, move, load, and place construction materials safely and efficiently.
• Transport materials around the jobsite.
• Assist field crews by staging materials where needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and complete pre- and post-operation checklists.
• Monitor load capacities and ensure safe lifting practices are followed.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, crane operators, and labor crews during material movement.
• Maintain awareness of overhead power lines, underground utilities, and surrounding jobsite hazards.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance including fueling, greasing, cleaning, and reporting mechanical issues.
• Keep equipment clean and in good operating condition.
• Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Assist with general labor duties when equipment is not in use.
