Telecounselor II

New Season operates over 70 treatment centers across multiple states, offering medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management for individuals with OUD. We are committed to treating patients with dignity and respect throughout their recovery journey.

We are seeking an experienced licensed Telecounselor II to serve our community remotely.

Job Summary

Telecounselors provide individual counseling via a HIPAA-compliant video platform to patients across the U.S. They work remotely, adhering to scheduled hours based on clinic needs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address clinical needs and support patient well-being.

Essential Functions

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via synchronous video communication.
• Educate patients about treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
• Maintain a minimum of 50% of work hours in direct patient contact monthly.
• Complete documentation such as screenings, psychosocials, treatment plans, and progress notes within required timeframes.
• Assist with intake, discharge, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress and ensure file compliance.
• Identify and address clinical or case management needs.
• Maintain communication with clinic leadership and support staff, respond to emails within one business day, and keep shared calendars updated.
• Report patient abuse, neglect, exploitation, and grievances as required.
• Coordinate urine drug screens and complete related documentation.
• Ensure understanding and compliance with policies, procedures, and confidentiality regulations (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA).
• Maintain proper licensure and participate in inspections and surveys.
• Attend staff and treatment team meetings, participate in supervision, and adhere to all applicable regulations and policies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Human Services related field and an independent Counseling license (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC or equivalent) in the supporting state, with at least 2 years of experience at current license level.
• Ability to obtain licenses in other states requiring 2+ years of licensure experience.
• Knowledge of Substance Abuse and Telecounseling preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to multitask, work independently, and reliability.
• Basic math skills.
