M.C. Dean is Building Intelligence®. We seek a Telecommunications Technician 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will install telecom cabling and equipment, read plans, and support complex projects across healthcare, government, and mission-critical facilities.

The role requires 4+ years in telecom, a BICSI Installer 1 copper certification, and the ability to travel up to 75% to diverse sites. A strong safety record and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of telecom installation experience (OSP/ISP, copper, DAS, CCTV).
• BICSI Installer 1 copper certification is required.
• Fiber certifications preferred; general certifications appreciated.
• Experience in federal, healthcare, and critical facilities.
• Ability to pass a basic telecom knowledge test.

Responsibilities

• Install communications cabling and equipment per plans, specs, and codes.
• Gain understanding of telecom systems including OSP/ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber optic and structured cabling.
• Support Healthcare, Government, Higher‑Education, Federal Aviation and Mission Critical projects.
• Travel about 75% to job sites.
