Job summary

Cook Systems, a veteran-owned IT consulting firm, is seeking an entry-level Telecommunications Technician to monitor, operate, install, and maintain telecommunications systems and equipment. This role supports ensuring systems meet business needs and assists in telecom installations for new facilities.

You will work with a team that values excellence and growth, with hands-on training and opportunities to develop skills in network hardware, software, and troubleshooting across multi-platform

Qualifications

• 0 to 1 year of IT work experience with a basic understanding of telecommunications and multi-platform environments.
• Knowledge of data scopes, patch panels, modems, and analog/digital signaling systems.
• Understanding of T-1 network architecture and operating procedures.
• Familiarity with line control techniques and communication access methodology.

Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Telecommunications Technician to monitor, operate, install, and maintain telecommunications systems and equipment. This role ensures systems meet business needs and objectives while performing troubleshooting to resolve hardware or software issues. The technician will also assist in telecom system installations for new company facilities.

Required Skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Knowledge of data scopes, patch panels, modems, and analog/digital signaling systems.
• Understanding of T-1 network architecture and operating procedures.
