A leading telecommunications provider is looking for a Remote Telecommunications Specialist to install, configure, and support voice, video, and data communication systems. The Remote Telecommunications Specialist is responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and supporting voice, video, and data communication systems. This role ensures efficient, secure, and reliable communications for employees, customers, and business operations in a remote or hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems, including VoIP, PBX, and conferencing platforms.
Monitor network performance to ensure voice and video quality.
Manage telecom hardware and software upgrades remotely.
Provide user support for phone systems, call routing, and conferencing tools.
Maintain telecom system documentation, diagrams, and inventory records.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure and compliant telecom operations.
Coordinate with vendors for repairs, maintenance, and service provisioning.
Qualifications:
Experience with VoIP systems (Cisco, Avaya, Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams Voice).
Understanding of networking protocols (SIP, RTP, TCP/IP).
Strong troubleshooting skills for telecom hardware and software issues.
Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.
Telecom or networking certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Avaya Certified) a plus.
