Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Telecom Attendant for the Evening Shift to handle routing of calls, paging, and general inquiries. The role supports clinical and administrative staff in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include taking calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff, and assisting during emergencies while following the department's disaster plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to problem-solve by critically evaluating information and implementing effective solutions.
• Experience in a healthcare or similar customer service role is preferred.

• Serve as referring physicians, and the public seeking information about physicians, staff.
• Provide directory information, assist with inquiries related to staff, clinic services, office hours, and general information.
• Screen physician calls and determine whether they should be transferred to the office, nurse, or paged.
• Initiate medical teams for emergency code calls, logging all relevant details, and assist security during disaster or emergency procedures.
• Support and execute the department’s disaster plan in case of equipment or network failure.

Compensation

Pay Range: $15.76- $22.11per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the rangebutmay vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
