Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Wall Township, NJ seeks a full-time Telecom Project Manager to lead complex telecom and infrastructure projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams across engineering disciplines while liaising with clients, utilities, and regulatory bodies.

You will oversee engineering plans, permits, and construction documents, mentor staff, and contribute to business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure-related projects within a consulting engineering or multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure including fiber optic systems, wireless facilities, utility coordination, and permitting processes.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles including budgeting, scheduling, resource coordination, and client management.
  • Experience coordinating with municipalities, utility companies, regulatory agencies, and telecommunications carriers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Revit, O-Calc, tnxTower, RISA, and other structural analysis software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with applicable telecommunications and structural design standards and codes including TIA-222, AISC, and ACI.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure is preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of engineering plans, specifications, permit applications, and construction documents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, electrical, survey, environmental, and permitting staff.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and project coordination meetings as needed.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, scope development, fee estimates, and business development initiatives.
  • Support construction administration activities including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and coordinating with contractors during construction.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, client standards, and company quality standards.
  • Mentor junior staff and support professional growth within the department.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
