AGE Solutions is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Network Engineer - Sr (Netops) who specializes in Local Area Networks (LAN) design and engineering. Candidate must have experience managing the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data LAN services from telecommunications carriers, designing access and backbone networks using carrier services, and/ or managing the analysis and design of wireless voice and/or data networks.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide support for complex applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis.
  • Identify high level design requirements, develop and perform testing on features, applications, operating systems, redundancy, maintainability, and disaster recovery for the LAN.
  • Develop and design Concept of Operations (CONOPS), disaster recovery, and contingency operations solutions and plans.
  • Manage the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data LAN services from telecommunications carriers
  • Perform network monitoring and fault detection.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Fail-over solutions.
  • Maintain network documentation to include network maps, node connections, installation diagrams, patch panel references and Cisco Prime Wireless Access Point locations.
  • Design access and backbone networks using carrier services.
  • Design, implement, and sustain network solutions to include, but not limited to streaming video, VLAN, wireless LAN, 802.1x, DNS/DHCP appliances, etc.
  • Provide support for the analysis and design of wireless voice and/or data.
  • Provides technical and administrative direction for junior network engineers for network design, implementation, and operations tasks
  • Peer review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards.
  • Makes recommendations, if needed, for approval of major network installations.
  • Provides inputs to status reports, deliverables and presentations on ongoing projects, and daily workload.
  • Review and provide recommendation for approval of network installations.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Citizenship and Clearance:
    • US Citizenship is required.
    • Must have and maintain a current DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of related experience
  • Certifications:
    • Must have a compliant 8570 IAT-II Certification (one of the following): CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP, CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH.
    • Computing Environment Certification (must have one of the following): Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Wireless Professional (CCWP), or other relevant Telecommunication Engineer Senior Cisco certifications.
  • Location:
    • This is a remote position within the United States requiring approximately 60% travel (CONUS).

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

  • Must be able to lift 30 -50lbs over your head.
  • Must be able to bend and move around equipment racks.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000
