Link Solutions is seeking a Telecommunications Mechanic II (OSP) Cable Locator to join our team at Fort Stewart, GA.

The Telecommunications Mechanic II (OSP) Cable Locator will oversee and optimize the performance of telecommunications systems supporting the Southeast Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) at Fort Stewart, GA. You will leverage advanced technology and communication systems to help achieve our client’s goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with government customers to identify needs or improvements.
• Address assigned tickets with government clients.
• Maintain telephone poles, manholes, handholds, and outside terminals.
• Install, de-install, maintain, repair, and test various communications cables including coaxial, fiber optics, and copper/conventional cables.
• Conduct cable audits of manholes, hand-holes, pedestals, communication closets, MDF, and IDF.

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (we will sponsor the right candidate).
• Minimum of 5 years experience in telecommunications infrastructure, facility design, and installation.
• Experience with cable locator equipment such as transmitters and receivers for underground utility detection.
• Knowledge of BICSI standards and OSHA safety regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active security clearance.
• Experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
