Telecommunications Installer (Level III) Florida

OmniOn Power currently has a Telecommunications Installer role open in our Southeast region. This role will be 100% remote with overnight travel to customer sites in a regional area. Periodic travel may be required outside of the geographic region.

The preferred location for this role is the Lakeland, Florida area.

The Service Technician DC Level III will work on the addition or removal of wiring and connections on working and non-working DC power equipment. Responsibilities include weekly tool inventory, writing and submitting the MOP (Method of Procedure) and JIM (Job Information Memorandum), managing timesheets for self and crew, ensuring safety adherence, and maintaining jobsite cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium sized service projects.
• Ensure on-time completion and quality of installation projects.
• Manage inventory and staging of equipment and materials; provide weekly status reports to supervisor; read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Assist Level IV Technician on lead verification (voltage).
• Add or remove DC power systems, batteries, and common systems equipment hardware.
• Support installation and commissioning of wireless, datacenter, and electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment.
• Comply with all EHS and regulatory guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Three years of experience in Telecom DC power equipment installation.
• Two years of experience in pulling & sewing cable, construction of cable racking, bay mounting.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time.
• Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts).

Desired Characteristics

• Prior field engineering experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• AC Electrical Experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries.
• Frequently push or pull cables up to 60 lbs.
• Frequently climb ladders up to 8 ft.
• Frequently work/stand on ladders for long periods of time.
• Frequently reach above, below, or at shoulder level.
• Frequently bend, twist, or stoop.
• Frequently crouch or squat.
• Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels and nominal variations in heat and cold.
