Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Telecommunications Estimator in Norfolk, VA to support bidding, estimating, and design projects within the Telecommunications Division. The role involves producing proposals, BOMs, and reviewing telecom drawings, while collaborating with stakeholders through bid and installation phases.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in telecom estimates, strong technical writing ability, and familiarity with DoD installation requirements; travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, or an Associate's Degree in a related field.
• Must have working experience with telecommunications estimates, including estimating materials, labor, and ODCs.
• Must have experience working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment; detail-oriented and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Produce client proposals and scope of work, estimating labor and materials.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Review and diagnose client telecommunications drawing packages.
• Apply problem-solving and solution-oriented thinking.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders throughout project bid and installation phases.
• Attend or schedule project meetings, site surveys, or walk-throughs in preparation for proposal work.
