Job summary

The position requires a ABET-accredited engineering degree with 3 years of telecom experience, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical, computer, or other related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of utility telecommunications project or related experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.
• Capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of telecommunications networks per client standards or develop new standards.
• Assist project deliverables such as BOMs, specs, yard layouts, equipment plans, wiring diagrams, and other technical drawings.
• Support execution of complex assignments, developing new or improved processes and methods.
• Identify, communicate, and help resolve issues on projects as needed.
• Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
• Collaborate with the project manager to support the project schedule and deadlines.
• Work with the project team to ensure client satisfaction and QA/QC compliance.
• Perform design quality reviews.
• Meet with clients or outside personnel to build relationships with key contacts.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presentations.
