Education: Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications or training in telecommunications systems design and network engineering preferred.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in telecommunications systems engineering, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Expertise in Ethernet networks, VLAN configuration, fiber optic systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. Familiarity with government or military telecommunications standards and practices.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS), Nokia Network Routing Specialist (NRS) or Nokia Service Routing Architect (SRA), or Certified Fiber Optic Specialist (CFOS) preferred. Security-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cisco Security) are advantageous.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Eligibility to work on federal and military telecommunications systems requiring secure access.
Ability and willingness to travel to various project sites in Hawaii or other designated locations as required. Must have a valid drivers license and meet travel requirements, including overnight stays.
