Job summary

Clear. is seeking an Engineer I&C (IT/Telecom) to design and deliver IT/Telecom systems for advanced semiconductor and high‑tech facilities across the US.

The role concentrates on the physical layer and requires hands‑on modelling with Revit or AutoCAD, coordinating with electrical, mechanical, and architectural teams. Qualifications

Responsibilities

Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 per year DOE

The role

A leading engineering firm specialising in advanced technology and mission-critical facilities is hiring an Engineer I&C (IT/Telecom) to support the design and delivery of complex semiconductor, cleanroom, and high-technology facilities across the US.

This is a hands‑on engineering design role focused on the physical layer of IT and telecommunications infrastructure. You will design and model telecommunications and network systems, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, work with manufacturers and clients, and support projects through installation, QA, commissioning, and validation.

If you have 3–5 years of experience in telecommunications, ICT, structured cabling, fiber optic systems, or physical network infrastructure and are comfortable working with Revit or AutoCAD, this is worth a conversation.

What you will be doing

• Design integrated IT/Telecom systems for advanced technology, semiconductor, cleanroom, and other complex facility environments
• Design and document structured cabling, fiber optic systems, network connectivity, and associated physical infrastructure
• Develop and maintain IT/Telecom models and construction documentation using Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Coordinate IT/Telecom designs with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and other technical disciplines
• Evaluate technology requirements and specify appropriate IT/Telecom equipment, devices, and components
• Analyse complex telecommunications systems and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation
• Work with manufacturers, vendors, contractors, facility teams, and customers throughout project delivery
• Support installation, QA, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting of IT/Telecom systems
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, industry standards, technical specifications, and facility requirements
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers and project stakeholders
• Maintain detailed documentation for IT/Telecom designs, installations, and compliance requirements

What we need from you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of relevant IT/Telecom, ICT, telecommunications, or network infrastructure engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and network connectivity
• Experience designing and documenting physical‑layer network infrastructure
• Revit and/or AutoCAD modelling experience
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project requirements

Good to have

• Experience within semiconductor, cleanroom, advanced manufacturing, data center, or other mission‑critical facilities
• Experience with low‑voltage / ELV / ICT systems
• BICSI certification or relevant BICSI design experience
• Experience with telecom rooms, equipment rooms, racks, pathways, cable tray, and physical network infrastructure
• Experience supporting projects through construction, commissioning, and validation
• Familiarity with applicable IT/Telecom codes, standards, and regulations
• Experience working within an EPC or multidisciplinary engineering consultancy
