Responsibilities

• LAN Infrastructure installation and grounding/bonding; patch connections to switches and Universal Power Switches.
• LAN electronics, switching upgrades and configuration, troubleshooting.
• WLAN infrastructure installation and controller/configuration work.
• LAN/WLAN core cutovers at facilities worldwide.
• Information Assurance authentication testing and evaluation of installed components.
• Collection and completion of required documents and reports.

Responsibilities

Empower AI: As a casual 100% remote position with 80% travel- Telecommunications Electronics/Network Technician w/ Secret Clearance AND Sec+ AND CCNA certifications, you will provide services related to the extension and upgrade of Wired Local Area Networks and Wireless Local Area Networks (LAN/WLAN) at Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and associated outlying/remote facilities in both CONUS and OCONUS locations. Support to Defense Health Agency (DHA), MTF LAN/WLAN, Survey and Design Reports, LOM (List of Materials), Installation, Integration and Test, Hardware Inventory Reports, Cutover and Closeout Reports, Visio Interconnect Drawings, As-Built Drawings and Post Implementation Documentation, Post Implementation Review, Quality Control of all documents, and formal meetings. This is a casual position.

• LAN Infrastructure (Requires grounding/bonding of ALL electronics and possibly patch connections to switches, installation of Universal Power Switches).
• LAN Electronics, switch upgrade and configuration and troubleshooting.
• WLAN - Infrastructure (Installation of switch equipment, installation of WLAN Access Points and Controllers.)
• WLAN - Electronics (Configuration of: Access Points, Controllers, Servers) and Server Wireless Information
• LAN and WLAN core cutovers at small and large Medical Treatment Facilities Worldwide.
• Information Assurance (IA) Authentication Testing and Evaluation of installed components.
• Collection and completion of all required documents.

Qualifications

• Exerprience with AirMagnet Pro
• CompTIA Security+ and one of the following: CCNA, RCNA or JNCIA
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance - Current active Secret highly preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
• 7-12 years Network Administration Experience
• 7-12 years of experience with network routing and switching technology and Network Administration experience.
• Experience with Cisco, Brocade, Juniper networking and Aruba and Cisco Wireless Controllers.
