Job Description

Sr. Construction Manager (Sr. CM)

A Sr. Construction Manager is responsible for all technical aspects of telecommunications equipment deployment and ASP management at assigned job/venues, including but not limited to:

  • Ensuring site appropriateness for deployment
  • Recommending or selecting suppliers
  • Identifying and validating scope items with RF and suppliers
  • Managing equipment and materials distribution
  • Managing site access
  • Planning and scheduling installation and construction, including setting project schedules, forecasting, and sequencing
  • Monitoring progress against schedule and updating plans as needed
  • Representing Ericsson during venue reviews, customer visits, government inspections, and safety issues
  • Conducting audits during build and completion
  • Ensuring work meets Ericsson and customer standards
  • Evaluating punch list items for completion and acceptability
  • Monitoring and managing budgets
  • Coordinating with Customer Project Managers
  • Delegating administrative tasks to support organizations

The IBCM partners with/supports the Senior Construction Manager and Remote Construction Manager on complex jobs/sites.

Job Responsibilities

To ensure proper and timely deployment, the IBCM is responsible for:

  1. Performing feasibility walks at venues with data collection SP, establishing POC, verifying cable routing, GPS placement, ingress/egress, and identifying potential roadblocks with mitigation plans
  2. Analyzing/developing the SOW, BOM, and working with RF design, managing execution, and recommending revisions
  3. Utilizing deployment knowledge to evaluate venues, resolve access issues, develop build methodologies, report deficiencies, manage plans and schedules, review job status, and interface with internal/external teams
  4. Overseeing construction quality and safety audits, assessing site design feasibility, and ensuring safety standards are met
  5. Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to teams
  6. Partnering with remote and senior managers to report on production, quality, and drive issue resolution
  7. Collaborating with RF design teams to optimize site locations and RF component placement
  8. Performing additional tasks as assigned

Knowledge of iBwave, Anritsu, ODTR fiber testing, Microsoft Office, databases, Ericsson tools, safety standards, and regulatory issues

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 7+ years of related experience, relevant degree, experience with Small Cell RAN systems, site feasibility, managing contractors, knowledge of Ericsson standards, troubleshooting, site acquisition, leasing laws, environmental compliance, contracts, budgets, and safety training.
