Job summary

Star Construction, LLC in Athens, AL, seeks a Laborer to join our Telecom Underground team. You’ll participate in loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment, and assist with installing underground telecom cables on a field site.

This entry-level position requires you to be 18+, have US work authorization, and a HS Diploma or GED. Prior tool and truck experience is a plus, with opportunities for hands-on training and safety-focused teamwork.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older required.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience required.
• Previous experience safely operating hand tools and utility trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment.
• Install underground telecommunications cabling.
• Operate construction equipment and maintain work areas.
• Clearly communicate with all team members.
• Complete daily production reports.
• Help with site restoration efforts.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
