Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking an entry-level Laborer for our Telecom Underground team in Bessemer, AL. You will participate in loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment while supporting the on-site crew.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to perform physical tasks in all weather conditions. Prior tool handling or equipment experience is beneficial and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience required.
• Experience with hand tools or equipment operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform loading and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
• Operate construction equipment and keep work areas clean.
• Communicate clearly with team members on site.
• Complete daily production reports.
• Assist with site restoration and cleanup.
• Work in all weather conditions and adhere to safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
