A leading company in telecommunications is seeking entry-level Telecommunication Tower Apprentices for extensive traveling and professional growth opportunities throughout the US. TowerMRLand Advanced Tower Services has immediate openings for Telecommunication Tower Apprentices at the entry level, seeking professional and personal growth while traveling throughout the US.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: This role requires relocation to our Cottage Grove, WI or Albuquerque, NM location within 60 to 120 days of employment. Apprentices will learn and perform a wide variety of field-specific job duties. Although travel is extensive, employees are scheduled for 2-3 weeks in the field at a time, with backloged time off after each deployment. Employees seeking higher pay may opt for longer assignments.
Technicians must be able to climb heights over 500 feet, lift more than 50 lbs., and travel extensively out of state for extended periods, including overnight and weekends. All new employees will undergo full tower and rescue training before deployment. Opportunities for extensive overtime and advancement are available.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
BENEFITS: The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, covering 50% of medical and dental, self-funded vision, and subsidies for disability and life insurance. COMPENSATION: Hourly wage ranges from $18.00 to $22.00, equating to approximately $55,000 to $65,000 annually.
Additional compensation includes required safety equipment, hotel accommodations, meal reimbursement ($45/day), safety and technical training, tool and boot allowances, a company-provided cell phone, credential testing, and a bonus referral program ($200 at hiring, $300 after 6 months).
TRAINING & SKILLS: Technicians will learn OSHA 10 (Telecom), climbing, PPE, RF awareness, safety analysis, CPR/First Aid, rigging, material handling, knot tying, equipment operation, DOT regulations, load securement, and structural types.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct inspections, tests, repairs, and upgrades on towers, including climbing towers over 500 ft. Organize data, operate excavation equipment, ensure compliance with regulations, prioritize safety, maintain vehicles, and perform travel duties (2-3 weeks away, 95% out of state).
REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver’s license, high school diploma (some college preferred), good communication and analytical skills, ability to work independently, physically capable of climbing and lifting, willingness to learn, and able to travel extensively. Must be insurable under company auto insurance with a good driving record.
