Job summary

Fujitsu Network Communications/Flextrack in Richardson, TX seeks a Telecom Technician on a long-term contract basis. The role involves assisting with moves, installations and de-installations of optical products in a development lab, and supporting hardware, software, compliance, and lab infrastructure teams.

The technician will cover lab administration, manage test equipment from receipt to calibration, and perform routine inventory using digital tools.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in moves, installations and de-installations of optical products in a development lab.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware in a lab environment and coordinate with teams.
• Experience conducting routine lab inventory and calibration processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in engineering and coordination of moves, installations, de-installations of optical products in a development lab.
• Help cover daily lab administration function when Lab Lead isn't available.
• Provides assistance to Hardware, Software, Compliance, and Infrastructure development personnel for installations and troubleshooting.
• Support functional level testing setup for Fujitsu optical products (Setup shelf configurations, optical test set, and run define test procedures)
• Provide test equipment support from receipt, inventory control, asset tagging, calibration processes (TL- 9000), repairs, and returns
• Routine inventory of Fujitsu equipment and laboratory test equipment using database support tools (wireless scanners). These routine inventories should take place weekly for test equipment and biweekly for Fujitsu equipment.
• Provide any additional support as needed by Software and Hardware development personnel or any routine maintenance of equipment or lab infrastructure to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• This Technician position and required rotating shifts with the other Technicians in order to support global access to the TDU Waterview lab

• Help cover daily lab administration function when Lab Lead isn't available (PTO, etc.)
• Provides assistance to Hardware, Software, Compliance, and Infrastructure development personnel for installations and troubleshooting
