Description

We are looking to hire a Telecom Supervisor (Aerial/Overhead Construction) for our Dayton location. The Telecom Supervisor (Aerial/Overhead Construction) plays a critical role within the Dayton office to manage new business projects within our Broadband division. The purpose of a Telecom Supervisor at Team Fishel is to sell projects, communicate with customers and teammates, set directions for the work, and remove roadblocks so the team can succeed, delight the customer, and ensure project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams by leading with our #1 core value: to be Accident-Free.
• Review the pre-job checklist prior to start-up.
• Conduct walk-throughs with foreman and customer.
• Secure the most cost-effective materials.
• Recruit, interview, and hire new teammates.
• Champion teammate development programs.
• Evaluate teammate performance and provide coaching.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5-7 years of related experience in construction.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
• Competent Person Training in Trenching and Excavation.
• Competent Person Training in Confined Spaces.
• Valid Driver’s License; Class A CDL is a plus.
• Understanding of safety processes and practices related to construction.
• Good knowledge and experience in aerial (overhead) telecom, CATV, or power construction.
• Experience managing small to medium-sized jobs.
• Ability to coordinate one to three small crews.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage job materials.
• Basic computer skills, including word processing, Excel, and email.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Understanding of estimating, contracting, and accounting practices.

Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in safety, flagging certification, tool operation, and maintenance.

Bilingual skills and prior construction experience are a plus.
