Qualifications

• Experience with coaxial and fiber optic splicing preferred; safety training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled splicing for coaxial and fiber optic cables according to standards and client specs.
• Test connections using specialized equipment to ensure signal quality and integrity.
• Interpret diagrams, schematics and work orders to complete splicing projects.
• Maintain documentation of splice locations, tests performed, and results.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting cable integrity or signal quality.
• Follow safety protocols for underground and aerial work environments.
• Maintain splicing equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with construction crews and supervisors to complete projects.
• Complete splicing work within specified timeframes to support schedules.
• Stay current with evolving splicing techniques through ongoing training.
