Job summary

MasTec Network Solutions is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to join our telecom construction team. You will develop detailed project plans, manage schedules, budgets, and resources for field deployment, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery for our customers.

This hands-on role requires 2+ years in telecom wireline construction, familiarity with fiber optics, and the ability to read design prints. We value teamwork, problem solving, and a commitment to learning as you grow with MasTec.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the telecom wireline construction industry or related field.
• Experience with Fiber Optic cable preferred, and all types of telecommunication cable a plus.
• Familiarity with fiber/copper distribution.
• Ability to design and plan Aerial and Underground construction best practices.
• Proven ability to track, prioritize, and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
• Skilled at reading and interpreting fiber/copper design prints.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans
• Drive projects through all phases of construction, including scheduling, budgets, and resource management
• Complete job site walkouts and facilitate project meetings
• Meet deadlines as set by the customer while maintaining a high level of quality
