Job summary

Velox is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to manage day-to-day telecom utility construction in the field. This role directs subcontractor and in-house crews, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to Velox standards.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of aerial and underground OSP construction, exceptional field leadership, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Leads field crews and subcontractors to meet project goals and safety standards.
• Ability to read drawings, fiber schematics, and project specs.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field activities across job sites and direct crews on priorities and quality.
• Plan work sequences, safety requirements, permits, and 811 locates before start.
• Monitor production, address delays, and maintain schedule integrity.
• Inspect work to ensure alignment with drawings, specs, and Velox standards.
• Enforce OSHA requirements; conduct daily JSAs and hazard checks.
• Document field quantities and support production reporting and billing.
• Communicate progress and issues to the Construction Manager and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot field challenges to minimize downtime and keep workflow continuous.
