Job summary

Oviedo Medical Center seeks a Telecommunications Operator (PRN) to manage our switchboard, relay calls, and page as needed. You will transfer callers to correct extensions, provide information, and respond to emergencies in a fast, professional manner.

Prior PBX experience is desirable; strong customer service skills and fluency in English are required. Hospital setting experience is a plus, with rotation across shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer multiple incoming telephone lines.
• Obtain necessary information and transfer calls to correct extensions.

• Monitor alarms located in PBX and notify appropriate personnel.
• Respond quickly to disaster and emergency situations.
• Assist with maintenance of directories on-call list.
• Support with general telecommunications operations.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for a Telecommunications Operator to join our team! As our Telecommunications Operator, you will operate a switchboard to relay incoming calls, outgoing calls, and pages. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role
