• Valid Driver’s License with confirmed ELDT Course enrollment; CDL preferred.
• Minimum 12 months experience in telecommunications line work.
• Ability to climb utility poles and work out of aerial lifts.

This position is responsible for the construction and maintenance of telecommunications line projects and related equipment / structures / facilities, both overhead and underground. Starting pay for this position is $25 - $30 / hr. DOE.

Your Responsibilities :

1. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all relevant construction safety and maintenance operating standards / codes / policies / guidelines.
2. Efficiently perform all types of line work following all construction safety and maintenance standards / codes / policies / guidelines. Tasks include, but are not limited to: installing fiber optic cable, strand, and / or splicing of similar line equipment (overhead and underground), working on / around energized lines and equipment, installing and removing poles, climbing transmission and distribution poles / structures, installing and maintaining all equipment related to telecommunications poles / structures, and securing / operating tools and equipment.
3. Read, interpret, and work from sketches, diagrams, and work plans.
4. Work with internal and external teams professionally to meet project requirements, inventory / equipment needs, and schedules, including documentation.
5. Work a flexible schedule to meet customer demands, including overtime and emergency duties (nights, weekends, holidays).
6. Perform other duties as assigned, including leadership responsibilities when required.

What We Need From You (Our Requirements) :

• Valid Driver’s License with confirmed ELDT Course enrollment; CDL highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant college / technical training or work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of utility design, construction, and maintenance, including related equipment, safety, SOPs, and laws.
• Minimum 12 months experience in telecommunications line work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses / certifications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and a good work ethic; self-motivated.
• Leadership skills to coach, mentor, and train less experienced coworkers.
• Ability to obtain / maintain DOT Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Ability to climb utility poles and work out of aerial lifts.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, on uneven ground.
• Ability to operate / drive trade-related equipment / vehicles daily.
• Good vision and hearing.
