Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Skilled Laborer/Groundman to support all phases of telecom construction. You will perform trenching, material handling and site prep, working on outdoor sites and wiring aerial and underground cable systems. You will transport equipment, troubleshoot in the field and learn to use a variety of tools.

This is a long-term field role with home daily. Ideal candidates hold a valid Class A CDL, take safety seriously, and are motivated to develop skills in

Responsibilities

• Responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with the use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day.
• Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
• Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment.
