Job summary

MasTec, Inc. seeks a Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on telecom towers. Role requires self-motivation, travel, and readiness for demanding, hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have extensive generator maintenance experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to lift heavy loads while following safety regulations. On-call duties may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of generator maintenance experience preferred.
• Generac, Cummins, Kohler, CAT, or MTU certifications required or preferred.
• ATS troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with telecom, data center, or industrial power generation.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds and work long hours including nights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, repair, install or replace generator components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades on equipment.
• Read blueprints and install/repair wiring and controls.
• Test operation of power systems and ensure readiness.
• Respond to alarms; on-call 24/7 as required; travel as needed.
• Work safely; follow all regulations and company policies.
