Job summary

Entegro is seeking experienced Field Technicians to support the deployment and commissioning of Infinera MTC-9 IOP Plus and GX-G42 platforms across customer optical transport networks.

Successful candidates will install, cabling and commission equipment, while working with Professional Services engineers and network operations teams to ensure safe, accurate deployments in client environments. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience installing telecommunications or optical transport equipment.
• Strong fibre optic handling, patching and cable management skills.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, rack elevations and installation documentation.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work in carrier, service provider or data centre environments.
• Strong health and safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install Infinera MTC-9 IOP Plus and GX-G42 equipment into customer racks.
• Install chassis, shelves, line cards, optics and associated hardware.
• Verify equipment installation against engineering designs and rack layouts.
• Install power, grounding and ancillary connections; ensure high installation standards.
• Perform fibre installation, patching and cable management; maintain accurate cable management.
• Support commissioning and acceptance testing; provide daily progress updates to the project team.
