Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple states, with heavy travel (80%). You will ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards, while enforcing safety and quality controls on site.

The role requires supervising field staff and subcontractors, developing schedules, and coordinating with suppliers to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
• Experience in underground fiber installation methods (plow, HDD) is a plus.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
• Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
• Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
• Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
