Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Telecommunications Field Engineer to support telecommunications infrastructure on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data center project in Abilene, Texas.

This role is responsible for supporting field execution by coordinating work activities, tracking quantities and progress, assisting with quality control, and partnering closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and trade partners to ensure telecom scopes are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience required.
• 1–5 years in construction, preferably telecom, data center projects.
• Understanding of structured cabling and telecom infrastructure.
• Willingness to work in Abilene, Texas with extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Support daily field operations for telecom and low‑voltage scopes, coordinating work with stakeholders.
• Track installed quantities, progress, and prepare progress reports.
• Perform field inspections to verify standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, NEC) and manage punch lists.
• Interface with foremen and subcontractors to support daily execution and turnover.
