Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Telecommunications Engineering Technician to support FAA Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group. The role is located in Palmdale, CA, with duties including site surveys, draft SSRs, and project risk Planning. Requires a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering and 2+ years of related experience or a Masters degree.

Travel up to 75% and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required. Proficiency in MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience OR a Masters degree.
• Ability to travel 75%
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance (U.S. citizen or Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A. for the past 3 years).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Review FAA databases and provide input or draft Site Survey Reports (SSR).
• Conduct site surveys to provide input and/or draft SSRs.
• Coordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and Verizon personnel.
• Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP).
• Generate and/or update drawings, sketches, and artifacts.
• Draft project plans for site preparation activities.
