Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Electrical Designer for a 12-month contract to hire. The role focuses on designing telecom projects, building Revit models, and producing technical drawings from rough sketches while ensuring standards and project schedules are met.

The candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and designers, applying 2D/3D design tools, maintaining model health and data integrity, and contributing to bid and construction deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or related field and min 2 years related experience Required or Associate Degree and min 3 years related experience Required or High School and min 4 years progressive detailing and design experience Required.
• Strong understanding of design software such as Revit, AutoCAD and Excel to develop design deliverables; Autodesk Revit strongly preferred.
• Ability to use both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Designing and modeling telecommunication project types including pathway infrastructure, equipment layouts, and structured cabling.
• Lead setup of Revit models according to project requirements for the telecom design team.
• Prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches using Revit and CAD software.
