At Utility Technologies, as a Telecom Drill Bores Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), with an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities, limitations, and setup

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined spaces and remote locations, operate vehicles and heavy machinery, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift over 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard, and mouse
